Pucks N Paws Night Details Announced
When you come to the Brandon Wheat Kings home game on Saturday, October 7, you won’t have to worry about finding someone to watch your dog while you’re away. For the first time ever, you can bring your dog with you to the Keystone Centre for our Pucks N’ Paws night!
For one night only, bring your furry friend with you to the game and share the fun atmosphere of Wheat Kings hockey with them. Sections 101-103 on east side, and 120-122 on the west side are dog-friendly zones! Dogs must remain within this seating area.
When you get to the arena, register your dog at either the East or West Main Entrance. That’s where you’ll sign a waiver (CLICK FOR WAIVER FORM) for at one of the Brandon Humane Society tables. Once you’re all signed up, we’ll give your good boy or girl a treat and welcome you into the rink. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
“The Brandon Humane Society has a long-standing relationship with the Brandon Wheat Kings,” said Chelsea McCrimmon of the Brandon Humane Society. “They are truly one of our biggest supporters. We look forward to this game each year to showcase some of our animals, to raise money for the animals both in the shelter and the ones we have in foster care, and to show our support for the team like they do for us.”
At the registration table, you’ll be able to make a donation to the Brandon Humane Society. When you do, you’ll be given a special tennis ball to take part in our second intermission tennis ball toss. The winner will get a prize pack from the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Worried your pup might get a little thirsty? Don’t worry, we’ll have water stations for dogs outside the East Main Entrance. And if that water means your dog needs to head outside, we’ve got a designated area for a “Doggy Break Zone” just outside the East Main Entrance as well.
Any season ticket holders that have seats elsewhere but would like to sit in the doggy sections with their furry friends, can exchange their season tickets for doggy section seats by visiting the Wheat Kings Office.
