T-BIRDS ACQUIRE RIGHTS TO OSCAR MOLLER FROM BRUINS
Seattle sends Ondrej Palat and a conditional bantam pick to Chilliwack
KENT — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has acquired the rights to Oscar Moller from the Chilliwack Bruins in exchange for the rights to Ondrej Palat and a conditional bantam pick.
Moller spent the previous two seasons in the WHL with the Bruins and is currently playing with the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL.
In two seasons with the Bruins Moller appeared in 131 games and had 151 points on 71 goals and 80 assists.
Moller, from Spanga, Sweden, was a member of Team Sweden at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Ottawa, Ontario. He appeared in six games at the tournament and had a goal and three assists.
Moller, who is 19-years-old, has appeared in 30 games with the Kings this season and has 13 points on six goals and seven assists.
Palat, from Vitkovice, Czech Republic, was the T-Birds second round selection, 66th overall, in the 20008 CHL Import Draft.
The T-Birds return to the ice on Sunday, January 11, to take on the Prince George Cougars at 5:05 p.m. at ShoWare Center.
