Roulette Scores Winning Goal With 13 Seconds Left In Overtime
Rybinski has three assists in 5-4 overtime win over Spokane
SPOKANE, April 4, 2021 — Conner Roulette scored with 13 seconds left in overtime Sunday night at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-4 win over the Spokane Chiefs.
The T-Birds next game is Tuesday at the Tri-City Americans 7:05 pm. They host the Everett Silvertips at accesso ShoWare Center on Friday at 5:05 pm in a game that will be broadcast on JOEtv Channel 22/Cable 110.
In overtime, the T-Birds were called for too many men on the ice 1:25 into the extra session. Seattle goalie Thomas Milic made three really good saves on the penalty kill to thwart the Chiefs and keep the T-Birds alive in the game.

Milic’s finished the game with 33 saves and his record is now 4-3-0-0.
Kevin Korchinski won a puck battle in the right corner after a Chiefs missed shot on goal. Korchinski’s battle popped the puck to Henrik Rybinski which created a two-on-one with Roulette. Rybinski got to the low left circle and backhanded the puck to Roulette in the slot. Roulette whipped the puck on net and beat Spokane goalie Mason Beaupit.

Roulette now has a six-game point streak with five goals and four assists in the last six games. Rybinski has a five-game point streak with a goal and six assists in the last five games.
Spokane (0-4-2-1) went in front 1-0 at 13:59 of the first period on a goal by Reed Jacobson.
Seattle (5-3-0-0) tied the game 1-1 with 57 seconds left in the first. Rybinski battled for the puck in the right corner. Rybinski passed the puck along the boards to Keltie Jeri-Leon who skated into the right circle. Jeri-Leon beat Beaupit over the glove for his fifth goal of the season. All five of Jeri-Leon’s goals this season have come against the Chiefs.

Payton Mount put the T-Birds in front 2-1 at 2:42 of the second period. Jeremy Hanzel fed the puck to Henrik Rybinski who drove the net and got a shot on goal. Rybinski’s shot rebounded off Beaupit into the slot right Mount who quickly snapped it past the goalie.

Blake Swetlikoff tied the game 2-2 for Spokane at 5:15 of the second with a power-play goal.
The Chiefs took a 3-2 lead on a power-play goal by Erik Atchison at 15:28 of the second.
Tyrel Bauer tied the game 3-3 13 seconds into the third period. Mount sent the puck up the right boards to Bauer at the right point. Bauer put a wrist shot on goal with traffic in front of Beaupit. Bauer’s shot beat the goalie on the stick side for his first goal of the season.

Jared Davidson got the T-Bird the lead back at 8:57 of the third. Davidson beat Beaupit from the low slow for his third goal of the season. Conner Roulette and Hanzel had the assists.
