EVERETT, Wash. – Newcomer and import forward Martin Fasko-Rudas scored a goal, added an assist, and goaltenders Dorrin Luding and Brandon Peacock combined for a 41-save shutout, delivering a 3-0 win for Team Green in the Silvertips annual Green vs. Grey intrasquad game at XFINITY Arena on Sunday. The game completed Phase 1 of Silvertips training camp.
Led by coaches Mike DeAngelis and Jag Bal, Team Green gradually pulled away with a goal each in the first two periods and withstood 17 shots by Team Grey in the first, stopped all by Luding.

Fasko-Rudas put Team Green on the board at 8:10 of the first period, intercepting a breakout pass and firing a shot from between the circles. Conrad Mitchell, a 2001-born forward, slammed a redirection under the crossbar for 2-0 lead at 6:56 after fellow 01-born forward Mark Liwiski threaded a pass to Mitchell from behind the net.
Team Green neutralized a two-man disadvantage and padded their lead to a 3-0 cushion on Matt Fonteyne’s empty netter with 1:50 left in regulation, set up by a Fasko-Rudas steal in the neutral zone.
Danton Belluk relieved Blake Lyda in the second period and didn’t surrender a goal while stopping ten shots in the third period.
NOTES: Silvertips head coach Dennis Williams served as general manager of Team Grey … Doug Sinclair and Vlad Spektor served as coaches for Team Green … ten of the Silvertips 13 draft selections from the 2017 WHL Draft suited up in the game, including first rounder and prospect defenseman Ronan Seeley.
