U.S. DOWNS CANADA IN FINAL JR EXHIBITION
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — Quentin Shore had two goals and an assist as the United States beat Canada 5-1 Saturday in a world junior hockey exhibition match.
Canada finished 2-1 at its summer development camp, beating Sweden and Finland in Lake Placid before falling to the Americans.
Riley Barber, Ian McCoshen and Stefan Matteau also scored for the United States.
Sam Reinhart had the lone goal for Canada, breaking Jon Gillies’ shutout bid.
Gillies made 24 saves for the U.S.
Jake Paterson stopped 20 shots for Canada.
