TIPS 2018-19 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), two-time Western Conference champions and six time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, announced today their 16th season in the WHL and Western Conference championship defense will open Friday, Sept. 21 on the road against the Vancouver Giants at 7:35pm, and raise their 2017-18 Western Conference and U.S. Division championship banners the following night on Sept. 22 in their home opener at Angel of the Winds Arena against the Giants at 7:05 p.m.
Priority seating and guaranteed home opener tickets are available now by placing a $50 deposit for Silvertips Season Ticket or Mini-Plan Packages (available in full season, 22-game, of 14-game plans) at www.everettsilvertips.com/tickets or by calling (425) 252-5100.
All Silvertips home games will be held at A.O.T.W. Arena in downtown Everett, scheduled for the following times:
- 7:05 p.m. – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
- 7:35 p.m. – Friday
- 4:05 p.m. – Sunday
Raising two banners to the rafters in a renewed home opener matchup with Vancouver, the event marks the second time in three seasons the Silvertips open the regular season schedule with a “home-and-home” series against Vancouver and the fourth time in Tips history that a home opener will host the Giants (Silvertips are 2-1-0-0). Most recently on Sept. 24, 2016 in downtown Everett, the Silvertips defeated the Giants, 3-1 in the downtown Everett opener which launched the Silvertips run to the U.S. Division title. The Silvertips are 7-6-1-1 in home openers, all-time.
Among the highlights in a revised schedule format for the 2018-19 season include:
- 29 Silvertips home games in downtown Everett will be played on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
- Home opener on Sept. 22 vs. Vancouver (7:05 p.m.)
- First matchup of the season against the U.S. Division rival Portland Winterhawks on Sunday, Sept. 23 in downtown Everett (4:05 p.m.), the first match-up since the Tips defeated the Winterhawks in the second round of last season’s WHL Playoffs
- First matchup of the season against the U.S. Division rival Tri-City Americans, in Kennewick on Saturday, Sept. 29 (7:05 p.m.), the first match-up since the Tips defeated the Americans in the 2018 Western Conference Championship Series.
- First matchup of the season against the U.S. Division rival Seattle Thunderbirds in downtown Everett, on Friday, Oct. 5 (7:35 p.m.), the first match-up since the Tips defeated the Thunderbirds in the opening round of last season’s WHL Playoffs
- The Silvertips road circuit against teams from the East Division, lasting six straight games (and part of a season long seven-game road trip) and starting in Brandon on Friday, Oct. 19 and ending in Swift Current on Saturday, Oct. 27
- A battle against the 2017-18 Scotty Munro Trophy winners (top regular season record in the WHL), the Moose Jaw Warriors, in Moose Jaw on Friday, Oct. 26 (5:00 p.m.)
- The rematch of the 2018 WHL Championship Series between the Silvertips and Swift Current Broncos, on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Swift Current (5:00 p.m.)
- Teddy Bear Toss presented by Jersey Mike’s – Evergreen Way, Les Schwab, Christmas House, and Warm 106.9 Teddy Bear Patrol – Saturday, Dec. 15 against the Seattle Thunderbirds (7:05 p.m.)
- Navy Night presented by Smile Generation – Saturday, Mar. 2 vs. Seattle Thunderbirds (7:05 p.m.)
- Fan Appreciation Night – Saturday, Mar. 16 vs. Victoria Royals (7:05 p.m.)

2018-19 SCHEDULE, TICKET INFORMATION
The Silvertips open the 2018-19 pre-season schedule with the Delta Hotels Preseason Classic in downtown Everett, starting Friday, Aug. 31 in a 7:00 p.m. game against the Tri-City Americans. Ticket packages and tickets for all nine games of the Delta Hotels Preseason Classic, starting each day with an 11:30am game, will be on sale soon.
