Join us for Tip-a-Tip at El Paraiso!

The Silvertips would like to thank all the fans who helped support our 2013 “Tip-a-Tip” night on Wednesday at all three El Paraiso Mexican Grill locations.  The annual event puts Silvertips players to work as celebrity waiters to raise money for a good cause. 

Thanks to the generosity of all the fans at El Paraiso, this year’s Tip-a-Tip raised $1,819 in donations!

The money collected through the event will be used to buy hockey equipment for kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play the game.  A start-up set of kids’ protective hockey equipment costs around $100, not including the varying additional cost of skates, sticks and other accessories.  Combined with participation fees, those dollar amounts often prevent kids from having the chance to discover the game when money is tight – which is why this year’s Tip-a-Tip was designed to help more local kids get involved in the game!

Silvertips fans in attendance posed for photos, got autographs and were served a great Mexican meal by the Silvertips and the El Paraiso staff.  After making their donations, a few lucky fans even walked away with raffle prizes including seats on the glass, signed sticks and team-signed trading card sets!
