Silvertips Battle Winterhawks in Second Round
EVERETT – The U.S. Division Champion Everett Silvertips have advanced to the second round of the 2015 WHL Playoffs, presented by Mountain Pacific Bank, and once again have home ice advantage in the Western Conference Semifinals against the reigning Conference Champion Portland Winterhawks. After a pair of games in Portland this week, the Silvertips host the Winterhawks in Game 5 Sunday afternoon at 4:05 at XFINITY Arena.

The Silvertips defeated the Spokane Chiefs in six games in the first-round of the playoffs, putting Everett in the second round for the first time since 2007. The Winterhawks advanced by defeating the Seattle Thunderbirds in six games as well. Everett and Portland now face-off in the postseason for the fourth time as the ‘Tips look to advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006 while the ‘Hawks aim for a fifth straight conference title.
