Silvertips Partner with Everett Youth Hockey
EVERETT – Global Spectrum, management for Comcast Arena at Everett, with an ongoing commitment to advancement of youth hockey in the region, announced today a strategic alliance with the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club and the Everett Youth Hockey (EYH) program.
“We are pleased to be able to continue to grow Everett Youth Hockey at the grassroots level in collaboration with the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club,” said Global Spectrum’s general manager, Jeff Schumacher. “The Silvertips brought awareness to ice hockey in the region almost a decade ago when the (then) Everett Events Center opened for their inaugural season. This partnership is a natural fit to continue to enhance youth hockey throughout the region.”
The Everett Silvertips Hockey Club will bring additional resources to the program including access to the organization’s players and coaches. The Silvertips will provide the expertise and assets necessary to aid player development both at the recreational and competitive levels.
“We look forward to having a positive influence on the progression of individual EYH participants and the growth of overall community involvement in the game of hockey,” stated Silvertips General Manager Garry Davidson. “EYH has worked hard to establish itself over the past ten years, and we at the Silvertips are excited to play a greater role in the development of local youth players through this partnership.”
This alliance advances EYH’s mission of providing the youth of Everett and surrounding communities the opportunity to participate in the great sport of ice hockey while developing life skills of sportsmanship, teamwork and personal integrity. “As EYH embarks on our second decade in Everett, we are looking forward to the enhanced experience for players, parents and coaches as a result of this mutually beneficial partnership,” said Christopher Raub, EYH Co-Founder & Director.
