Leedahl Named WGU Washington Scholastic Player of the Month
EVERETT – Second-year forward Dawson Leedahl has been named the WGU Washington Silvertips Scholastic Player of the Month for December 2013. Leedahl was recognized with the award prior to Friday’s game against the Spokane Chiefs at Comcast Arena. Dedication is required to balance hockey and school, while excelling at both, and the Silvertips are proud to acknowledge the hard work our players put in outside the rink to further their education. Each month throughout the 2013-14 season, the Silvertips recognize a player for continued improvement and excellent overall performance in the classroom.
A native of Saskatoon, SK, Leedahl was the Silvertips 2012-13 Scholastic Player of the Year and has continued his constant high academic standards. Even while dealing with hockey travel and game schedules, Dawson has never missed an assignment and is always in communication with his teachers. His dedication also serves as an example for the younger players to follow.
