It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, almost. Men everywhere – including players and staff members from your Silvertips – are growing out their moustaches to change the face of men’s health this month with another “Movember” campaign! In honor of Movember, the Silvertips are hosting our first-ever “MovemberFest” in partnership with Erickson Furniture at Saturday’s game against the Kamloops Blazers.
For just $23 you get a ticket to the game, one drink voucher and an opportunity to see some glorious facial hair. CLICK HERE to purchase the ticket package. Silvertips beer steins as previously featured in the ticket package are now sold out, but a different variety can still be purchased in the Team Store for $10 each.
The fans won’t be alone in donning moustaches to the game, as Silvertips players and staffers have spent this month growing and shaping their best Movember Mo. Movember is a global men’s health charity that encourages men to grow moustaches throughout the month of November with the goal of raising awareness and funds for Men’s cancers and mental health initiatives.
Last year the “Everett Silvertips Mo Bros” were one of the top fundraising teams in the Canadian Hockey League, ranking 3rd in the WHL and 4th among all CHL franchises as the CHL network raised nearly $148,000 collectively for Movember. This year we’re hoping to beat last year’s total and raise even more money for men’s health concerns.
