WEEKEND RECAP: Dexter Whittle scores first WHL goal as Tips drop two in Tri-City
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A weekend of firsts was spoiled in Tri-City, as the Americans swept the Everett Silvertips in a pair of weekend games at Toyota Center by 7-5 and 5-2 scores.
Eric Jamieson and Caden Zaplitny both made their Western Hockey League debuts on Friday, with Jamieson earning the start in his first regular season contest with the Silvertips. Dexter Whittle also netted his first WHL goal in Friday’s loss.

Ryan Hofer extended his point streak to nine games over the weekend, the longest of any Silvertip on the season. Over the course of his streak, Hofer has five goals and eight assists. Jackson Berezowski has also strung together a three-game goal scoring streak. In seven games in the month of December, Berezowski has nine goals and five assists.
Brady Van Herk also returned to the Everett Silvertips lineup after an assignment with the VIJHL’s Oceanside Generals.
