POR 7 – EVT 4 (9/23/17): Kieffer Bellows scored twice and Cody Glass added a goal with two assists, and the Everett Silvertips fell to the Portland Winterhawks, 7-4 in the season opener before a crowd of 5,873 at XFINITY Arena on Saturday in WHL action. The Silvertips, who sprung out of the gate with a 2-0 lead, were led by Matt Fonteyne’s pair of goals while Reece Vitelli and Riley Sutter each scored as well.
