GAME RECAP: Huuhtanen records four-point night as Tips power past Giants 5-2
EVERETT, Wash. — Niko Huuhtanen racked up four points as the Everett Silvertips exacted revenge on the Vancouver Giants to the tune of a 5-2 win Saturday night in Everett.
Huuhtanen opened the scoring on the powerplay, wiring a wrist shot past Vancouver netminder Connor Martin for a 1-0 lead 2:22 into the game. Huuhtanen would strike again at 16:39 in the period, capping off a give-and-go play with Olen Zellweger for his 32nd goal of the season.
Hunter Campbell would contribute his 20th goal of the season on the man advantage late in the second period, tapping in a back-door feed from Ben Hemmerling. The Tips struck again on the powerplay just minutes later, as Jackson Berezowski buried his team-leading 41st goal of the season on the rebound.

Jacob Wright would add a backhand goal in the third period for his 19th of the year to cap off Everett’s scoring. Vancouver netted two powerplay goals in the third period for a 5-2 final.

Koen MacInnes stopped 29 of 31 in the win, his 18th. Everett’s powerplay finished the evening three-for-five. With the win, the Tips improved to 40-10-3-5 on the year, picking up their Conference-leading 88th point.
