GAME RECAP: Berezowski nets 40th goal as Silvertips come up just short in Langley
LANGLEY, B.C. — Jackson Berezowski joined elite company in the Everett Silvertips’ 40-goal club, but the Silvertips fell just short in a comeback effort in Langley as the Giants take a 5-3 victory.
Jackson Berezowski opened the scoring with a 5-on-3 goal 3:20 into the second period. The Giants would answer with an even-strength tally, as defenseman Nicco Camazzola lifted a wrist shot past Braden Holt to knot the game at one. Adam Hall would give Vancouver a 2-1 lead with a powerplay one-timer at 14:18 in the second.

Goals in rapid succession in the third period by Evan Toth and Hall would chase Holt from the game. Though the Silvertips would rally to cut the deficit to just one goal- thanks to Berezowski’s second of the game and 40th of the season plus Swetlikoff’s 27th goal of the year- a Payton Mount empty-netter would ice the game for a 5-3 final.
Berezowski becomes just the fifth Silvertip in franchise history to reach 40 goals. He joins Bryce Kindopp (2019-20, 40), Josh Winquist (2013-14, 47), Tyler Maxwell (2010-11, 41), and Shane Harper (2009-10, 42) in the 40-goal club.
The Silvertips return home Saturday night for a rematch with the Giants. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. The game will feature a mystery giveaway for the first 1,000 fans through the main gate and the third installment of the Great Small Dog Races presented by Sam’s Cats and Dogs Naturally.
