2013 Preseason Schedule Announced
EVERETT – The Everett Silvertips and the Western Hockey League today announced the 2013 exhibition schedule, which includes seven preseason Silvertips games. For the tenth consecutive season, the Silvertips will host the Holiday Inn Preseason Classic tournament over Labor Day weekend at Comcast Arena.
This year’s Holiday Inn Preseason Classic returns to a six-team format, featuring all five U.S. Division clubs and the addition of the Victoria Royals. The event goes back to a schedule featuring three games per day (starting at 11:30 am, 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) and a total of nine games between Friday, August 30 and Sunday, September 1. The Silvertips will play the 7:00 pm game each day, facing the Royals, Spokane Chiefs and Portland Winterhawks during the tournament.
The ‘Tips travel to Kennewick the following weekend to participate in the Tri-City Americans’ preseason tournament. Everett plays a pair of 11:00 am games at the Toyota Center, meeting Portland again on Friday, September 6 and the Kootenay Ice on Saturday, September 7.
The Silvertips will then conclude their exhibition schedule with back-to-back games against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The ‘Tips host the T-Birds at Comcast Arena at 7:35 pm on Friday, September 13 before visiting the ShoWare Center in Kent for their exhibition finale against Seattle on Saturday, September 14.

The 2013-14 WHL regular season schedule will be released on Wednesday, June 26. Silvertips preseason ticket packages will be released in July.
