WHL COMBINES COMING TO VICTORIA
Victoria WHL Combine set for July 19 for players born 1997-2001.
The WHL in partnership with Okanagan Hockey Schools are running a series of one day physical testing Combines throughout Western Canada and the US this spring and summer for players born in 1997-2001.
The Combines will put the athletes through on & off ice tests measuring power, quickness, agility and reaction time using state of the art technology. After taking part in a Combine players will be provided with their results which will help them to focus their training in specific areas that need improvement. The players will also have access to an online data base that allows them to compare their results with players from across Western Canada and the United States.
The testing scores will also be made available to WHL GMs and Scouts increasing the players’ exposure. In addition to the physical testing the players will take part in educational off-ice seminars as well learning more about the WHL player experience.
Here are a couple video of the testing that the players will be running through on the ice so you can see what exactly this entails.
