Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals were led offensively by forward Tarun Fizer, who registered his second career hat-trick, on their way to a 6-1 win over the Tri-City Americans to sweep their two-game weekday series.

Season Series: Victoria and Tri-City concluded their four-game regular season series tonight. The Royals went 3-0-1-0 in the four contests and outscored the Americans 15-7. This is the third consecutive season, and seventh time in nine years, that Victoria finished the regular season with a winning record against Tri-City.
Hat-Trick Hero: Royals’ forward Tarun Fizer scored his second career hat-trick in tonight’s game. Fizer’s first hat-trick took place at home on December 11, 2018 vs. the Portland Winterhawks and current Royals’ netminder Shane Farkas. This is the second time this season that a Victoria player has scored three goals in a game as Phillip Schultz registered his second career hat-trick on November 22nd against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
First Win: Victoria goaltender Adam Evanoff earned his first win as a Royal tonight. The Penticton, BC product played in his second game for the club after he was acquired from the Moose Jaw Warriors last week.
Scoring Streak: The Royals currently have four players on multi-game point streaks. Brayden Tracey leads the way with 10 points (4g-6a) in his last seven games and has now collected two goals and four assists in his first four contests for Victoria. Kaid Oliver (3g-2a) and Gary Haden (5a) have each registered five points in their past three games, while Brandon Cutler has tallied two goals and two assists in his last three contests.
WHL Debut: Tri-City defenceman Carson Haynes played in his first career WHL game tonight. The Taber, AB native was recently recalled from the Lethbridge Hurricanes Midget AAA team of the Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL).
