Prince George, BC- The Victoria Royals erased a 4-1 deficit in the third period, but were defeated 5-4 by the Prince George Cougars on Tuesday night at the CN Centre.

Notes:
Fresh Face – Royals’ forward Noah Gregor, who was acquired in a trade from the Moose Jaw Warriors yesterday, took part in his first game with Victoria and earned an assist. Victoria acquired Gregor and a 2018 eighth round pick in exchange for Ryan Peckford and a 2018 fourth round pick.
Heating Up – Victoria had four skaters extend their point streaks to three games. Igor Martynov (2g-5a), Kaid Oliver (3g-3a), Tyler Soy (2g-4a) and Dino Kambeitz (3g-1a) have all tallied points during that span.
Final 20 – The Royals tallied four goals in the third period for the second consecutive game. In Victoria’s previous three contests, the club has collected 13 goals in the final frame.
Prince George Firsts – Nic Holowko, a 20-year old forward who was signed earlier today, suited up for the Cougars for the first time. Prince George also had 16-year old defenceman Cole Beamin take part in his first WHL contest, while forward Max Kryski tallied his first career WHL goal.
Next Up – The Royals will face the Vancouver Giants on Friday, December 15th at the Langley Events Centre with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.
Coming Home – Victoria will battle the Giants again on Saturday, December 16th at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for the team’s final game before the Christmas break.
