Nate Misskey drew the lone asisst on the play which extended his point streak to four games to start the season. The Royals would carry that one goal lead into the intermission.
The middle frame started in a similar fashion to the opening period as Tanner Scott grabbed his second in as many games to extend the Royals lead to two goals. Prince George would bounce back midway through the period as Riley Heidt scored twice on the man-advantage to even things up at two.
Prince George would strike first in the final frame as Terik Parascak got the Cougars their first lead of the game just over a minute into the period. They would extend their lead to two goals midway through the period via a short handed marker.
Cole Reschny would grab his first on the season late in the third period to make it a one goal contest. Prince George would seal the deal on an empty net goal from Dezainde as he tallied his second of the period.
