Multiple Rockets Alumni Hit Milestones
A trio of Kelowna Rockets alumni celebrated milestones this week in the NHL; Tyson Barrie, Alex Edler and Leon Draisaitl all celebrated an accomplishment.
Barrie, a former Captain of the Rockets, became the first Colorado Avalanche Player to hit 300 points with the franchise. Earlier this season he became the third defenseman in team history to record 200 career assists.
He was drafted by the Avalanche in the third round (64th overall) at the 2009 NHL Entry draft.

Edler had previously set franchise records with the Vancouver Canucks as their leader in games played, points and power play points by a defenceman, last night he added another accolade to the list as their leader in goals with his 94th tally.
The Swedish import was drafted by the Canucks in the third round (91st overall) at the 2004 NHL entry draft.

Draisaitl became the first Rocket alumni to hit 100 points in an NHL season last night with his 47th goal of the season, he currently sits at 101 points and 47 goals with five regular-season games to go. The German product is having a career year; he has set highs in goals, assists and points.
The Oilers drafted the big forward third overall at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
