Rockets release 20-year-old goaltender Roman Basran
The Kelowna Rockets announced today that have released goaltender Roman Basran.
The Vancouver, BC product went unclaimed, clearing WHL waivers earlier this week. He is now a free agent eligible to join other leagues.
Basran, 20, appeared in eight games this past season while posting a 4-2-1-0 record, 3.86 goals-against average and .876 save percentage.
The 6’2″, 192-pound netminder played in 120 games over the last four seasons with Kelowna, accumulating a 52-41-7-4 record, 2.90 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and five shutouts.
Basran was selected by the Rockets in the third round, 64th overall, at the 2016 WHL Draft.
