Rockets on the Road: Day 1
While the Rockets embark on their prairie road trip, each day a different player will be writing a journal of their daily activities.
To begin the daily journal of life on the road as a Rocket, Assistant Captain Gordie Ballhorn wrote in:
“Today we didn’t get up to much, it was a travel day. We arrived at the rink at quarter to eight to load the bus and eat breakfast. After the bus was loaded and we ate we took off on the road! After a few movies (the best of the day being “The Departed”), we stopped for lunch in Golden for a nice stretch and a meal. After that it was back on the old iron lung. After three and a half more hours driving and another movie, we arrived in Strathmore. We checked into the hotel and then went for dinner. Tonight’s meal was at the “Strathmore Station Restaurant” where we ate Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowls. I️ would rank it a 3.7 out of 5. After that we had some down time to just hangout and let loose before practice tomorrow and the remaining leg of the trip to Regina.” – Gordie Ballhorn
Stay tuned tomorrow for another entry to Rockets on the Road.
