The Kelowna Rockets will be looking to string together wins this weekend after collecting their fourth win of the season on Tuesday, with a 6-3 victory over the Swift Current Broncos.
Kelowna will kick off the weekend on Friday, with just their third road game of the season, when they face the Tri-City Americans at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA. The Rockets will then head back to Kelowna to host the Vancouver Giants on Saturday night for a busy evening at Prospera Place. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm both nights.
CANDY SCRAMBLE + LIVE MUSIC ON SATURDAY
Saturday’s game is also the annual Hershey’s Candy Scramble event, fans are invited to dress up in their costumes. During one of the intermissions, children aged ten and under will be invited to the ice surface to collect candy that has been scattered. The game will also feature live music from the Dirt Road Kings throughout the night.
BLASTING BACK
The Kelowna Rockets came back from a two-goal deficit to down the Swift Current Broncos 6-3 on Wednesday night at Prospera Place. Scoreless heading into the final minutes of the first period, the Broncos were able to break free with two quick goals to hold a 2-0 lead through the opening frame. Kelowna charged back in the second, scoring four unanswered goals. Swift Current made it a one-goal game in the third period, but the Rockets were able to post two empty net goals. Andrew Cristall recorded four assists, while Gabriel Szturc posted two goals and an assist. Jari Kykkanen made 28 saves on 31 shots.
TRI-CITY
This will be the first of five meetings between the Rockets and Americans this season. The Americans were blanked 7-0 by the Portland Winterhawks on Sunday, they then responded with a 2-1 victory at home over the Wenatchee Wild on Wednesday night.
GIANTS
Saturday’s game will be the first of eight meetings between the Giants and Rockets this season. Entering Friday, Vancouver has dropped their last three games – they fell 3-2 to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday in overtime. They’ll hit the road to face the Wenatchee Wild on Friday night in Washington before heading to Kelowna for Saturday.

- Marcus Pacheco’s lower-body injury time was updated on this week’s injury report to one week.
- Twenty-year-old defenceman Jackson DeSouza missed the Rockets last game with a lower-body injury, he’s listed out day-to-day.

ROCKETS TO WATCH
- Washington Capitals prospect Andrew Cristall extended his point streak to five games after posting four assists in Wednesday’s win. He’s recorded four goals and ten assists over that span.
- Max Graham scored the opening goal of the game on Wednesday against the Broncos, he also added an empty net goal at the end of the game.
AMERICANS TO WATCH
- Forward Jordan Gavin is second in team scoring with six points (2G, 4A) through eight games. A late 2006 birthday, the second overall pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft won’t be eligible for the NHL Draft until 2025.
- Calgary Flames prospect Parker Bell was recently returned to the Americans for his overage season. The winger has recorded six points (1G, 5A) through four games this season.
GIANTS TO WATCH
- Forward Adam Titlback was selected 21st overall by the Giants in the 2023 CHL Import Draft. Through six games, the 2006 born forward has posted two goals and two assists.
- With Jesper Vikman aging out at the end of last season, Brett Mirwald has taken over the heavy work in net for the Giants. Entering Friday, the 2003 born goaltender has appeared in six games, posting a 3.81 gaa, .894 sav% and a 2-3-0-0 record.

The Kelowna Rockets online 50/50 is back for the 2023-24 season!
The online 50/50 will give fans in Rockets fans located in British Columbia and those who are attending the game the chance to win during every Rockets home game this season. The 50/50 will also raise important dollars for the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association.
Tickets will be available for purchase on all game days starting at 9 a.m. PT and end at the start of the third period on the same day.

LINEUP SHEET + GAME DAY PROGRAM
Printed lineup sheets will not be available at games this season, they can be accessed online by visiting the game day program.
The Game Day Program will be available in the same spot, it comes complete with game notes, stats, team rosters and entry forms for the Rockets intermission contests.
