Dube with 2: Rockets over PG 5-2
The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Prince George Cougars 5-2 on Monday afternoon as the Rockets celebrated the B.C. Family Day weekend in front of a large crowd at Prospera Place.
Dillon Dube scored twice and rookie netminder Jake Morrissey earned the win in net as the Rockets won its fifth game in a row and improved to 42-8-3-1 on the season.
Cole Linaker, Josh Morrissey and Rourke Chartier also scored in the win. For Chartier, it was his WHL leading 44th goal of the season.
The Rockets will complete a stretch of four games in five nights on Tuesday as they head to Seattle for a game on Tuesday night against the Thunderbirds.
Kelowna returns home to Prospera Place this weekend for a pair of home games as they host Victoria Friday and Moose Jaw on Saturday.
