YALE CLAIMS JOHN REID MEMORIAL TITLE

The Yale Hockey Academy Lions took home the 38th Annual John Reid Memorial Bantam Tournament title on Sunday, with a 4-1 victory over Delta Hockey Academy. Yale outshot Delta 32-18 in the tournament final, adding an empty net goal in the final minutes to secure the victory. Carter Anderson scored twice, and Josh Williams added two assists for the Lions in Sunday’s final.
Yale was led to a perfect 6-0 record in the tournament by forwards Josh Williams (6GP 5-4-9) and Harrison Blaisdell (6GP 6-2-8), along with the strong goaltending tandem of Alex Rolfe and Blake Wood, who posted a 1.67 GAA, 0.924 SV %, and two shutouts between them. Yale outscored opponents 28-10 in the tournament.
Yale moved past the Sherwood Park Flyers in the tournament semi-final by a score of 6-2, while Delta moved past the Lethbridge Golden Hawks 5-0, in the tournaments other semi-final. Sherwood Park and Lethbridge met in Sunday’s bronze medal game, with the Flyers coming out on top by a score of 3-2.
Dylan Cozens of Delta Hockey Academy led all players in tournament goals and points, posting 9 goals and 6 assists, for 15 points in 6 games. Individual Tournament Awards are as follows:
