Seattle Thunderbirds sign Marcus Laraque to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
Kent, Wash. – The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced the signing of Marcus Laraque to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Laraque was the 79th pick of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft and is the fourth player drafted by the T-Birds to sign with the team.
“We would like to welcome Marcus and his family to the Thunderbirds,” said Thunderbirds Director of Player Personnel Craig Goebel. “We watched Marcus steadily improve his game all year. He’s a big body who plays well in the hard areas, has really good hands so he can make plays and has a good understanding of the game. We’re thrilled to add Marcus to our group.”
Laraque appeared in 28 games with the JPHL’s HC Edmonton U15, scoring 13 goals and 27 assists for 40 total points. Laraque also suited up for 3 games with HC Edmonton U18, tallying an assist.
