Cougars Announce 2023 Training Camp Schedule
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars are excited to announce their 2023 Training Camp Schedule. Training Camp opens on Wednesday, August 30th, culminating on the evening of Sunday September 3rd, with the Cougars annual Intrasquad Game.
Training Camp rosters will be comprised of returning players, prospects, and free agent invites who will be grouped into four teams: (Dustin) Byfuglien, (Zdeno) Chara, (Chris) Mason, and (Brett) Connolly.
The four-day Training Camp will involve daily practices, off-ice workouts, and scrimmages. It will be the first Training Camp for the 2023 WHL Prospect Draft class which includes first and second round selections Carson Carels, Kayden Lemire, Dermot Johnston, and Townes Kozicky.
The Cougars’ “Prospects Showcase” game highlights the second day of Training Camp. Team Souray battles against Team Boogaard at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 31st. The two rosters consist of listed prospects and free agent invites aged 15-17 years old.
All scrimmages and ice times are at the CN Centre and are open to the public:
