Alumni Spotlight: Brogan O’Brien
Brogan O’Brien is enjoying an extended summer at home in Prince George.
The Prince George Cougars alum is preparing for his third season of hockey at the University of Carleton in Ottawa, ON but has had his summer extended to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
O’Brien has two years under his belt playing at the U Sports level. Last season with the Carleton Ravens, the 23-year-old had 23 points (9-14-23) in 27 games. In his freshman season, the Prince George product had 25 points (11-14-25) in 27 games and as the Ravens advanced all the to the University Cup, the U Sports national championship.
The two-way forward played four seasons and 193 career regular season games in the WHL with the Cougars and he compiled 44 goals and 130 points. O’Brien recently chatted with Cougars’ broadcaster Fraser Rodgers
