Catton’s milestone not enough as Chiefs drop 5th straight
Spokane, Wash – Spokane returned home to the Spokane Arena for the first time in a week to take on Wenatchee on Sunday night, falling 4-3 to the Wild. Berkly Catton entered the night sitting at 99 career WHL points with tonight his 99th career game. He wasted no time crossing the century mark with a goal less than two minutes into the contest.

Chase Bertholet pushed the puck from the left circle towards the center of the attacking zone before firing on net. The rebound landed right to Catton at the side of the net who calmly collected and popped it into the roof of the net to make it 1-0.
Bertholet would add his second assist of the night later in the period as Chase Harrington found the goal for his second of the season.

The Chiefs worked the puck around on the powerplay with Streek passing across to Bertholet who laced the puck towards net. Harrington redirected the puck into the net and the Chiefs would hit intermission with a 2-0 lead.
Former Chief, Luka Shcherbyna was next on the board with a goal for Wenatchee at the 7:57 mark, his fourth of the season, making it 2-1 Spokane.
The lead would double again at 16:11 with a goal credited to Carter Streek. Bonni carried the puck into the corner before spinning and firing towards net. Carter Streek was out front and appeared to deflect the puck into the net. Bonni and Parr with the assists on the play.
After two the Chiefs would lead 3-1 with 21 shots to Wenatchee’s 13.
The Wild would come out the break with a quickfire pair of goals from Hayden Moore and Cooper Miles, making it 3-3 with just over 16 minutes to play. On an ensuing power play, the Wild found the net once again, with a slapshot from Wood.
Spokane went 1/2 on the power play, 3/4 on the penalty kill, and tallied 28 total shots to 20 for Wenatchee.
