2019-20 Play of the Year: “Zummy’s OT Winner” vs. “Devil’s Drop Pass”
Make your voice heard! The Spokane Chiefs are asking you to decide on the 2019-20 Play of the Year (Runner-Up) presented by Pizza Factory. Check the Chiefs’ social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram; @spokanechiefs) each day to view that day’s match-up and vote for which play you think should advance to the next round of the tournament. 16 will enter. Only one will be crowned the 2019-20 Play of the Year (Runner-Up) presented by Pizza Factory.
This year’s bracket is a battle for runner-up as we are preemptively crowning goaltender Lukas Parik‘s goal versus Kamloops on March 10 as the official 2019-20 Play of the Year presented by Pizza Factory. Parik’s remarkable score was the first goalie goal in Chiefs’ franchise history and marked the first time a goalie has scored and recorded a shutout in the same game in WHL history.
First-round voting is now open between:
- Eli Zummack’s “Zummy’s OT Winner” on January 22 vs. Everett
- Ty Smith’s “Devil’s Drop Pass” on January 14 vs. Kamloops
Be sure to cast your vote via the Chiefs’ social media accounts (@spokanechiefs)!
