A former first overall WHL Bantam Draft pick, Ty Smith scored 14 goals and 73 points for the Spokane Chiefs this season. The Lloydminster, Alta. native has represented Canada in two different Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournaments in addition to tours of duty at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and World Under-18 Hockey Championship. He is the top-ranked WHL skater at 14th on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings.
