Jack Finley invited to Hockey Canada National Junior Team selection camp
Spokane, Wash. — Spokane Chiefs forward and team captain Jack Finley is one of 35 players invited to Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp, as announced by Hockey Canada on Wednesday morning. The camp will begin on December 9 in advance of the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship in Alberta.
Finley, 19, looks to join a long list of Chiefs players to represent their country at the tournament, including recent standouts D Ty Smith (Canada), G Lukas Parik (Czech Republic), D Filip Kral (Czech Republic) and F Jaret Anderson-Dolan (Canada).
Standing 6-foot-6 and 223 pounds, Finley would bring a physical presence to the roster if selected for the final team. The Tampa Bay Lightning prospect (2020 second round) has posted 13 points (6G-7A) in 18 games with the Chiefs so far this season.
The World Junior Championship will begin on December 26 with the Canadians taking on Team Czech Republic. [related_links]
