The Spokane Chiefs proudly support the National Hockey League’s Hockey Is For Everyone initiative, which uses the game of hockey to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities. We support any teammate, coach, staff or fan who brings heart, energy and passion to the rink and believe hockey programs should provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all players and families.
Initiatives
Pride Night
The Chiefs hosted Pride Night on January 15, 2022, which included a special Pride-themed Chiefs t-shirt. Players were able to use provided Pride Tape on their sticks if they chose.
Special Olympics Night

#RockYourHKYSocks
In recognition of World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) the Chiefs wore mismatched socks in their March 19 game against the Tri-City Americans as a part of the Rock Your Socks campaign. Rock Your Socks Day is an international celebration of all people born with Down syndrome, and is a campaign to create conversation about diversity, uniqueness, inclusion and acceptance.
