Chiefs reassign Allan, Gillespie, Preston ahead of Friday’s season opener
Spokane, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs have reassigned defenseman Kaden Allan and forwards Brody Gillespie and Mathis Preston to their respective U18 clubs ahead of Friday’s regular season opener. Allan will spend the 2023-24 season with Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg, while Gillespie returns to Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna and Preston rejoins Okanagan Hockey Academy.
The trio each played in five exhibition games with the Chiefs, with Allan chipping in a point on an assist, Gillespie posting two points on two assists and Preston delivering a goal and an assist for two total points.
Spokane’s current roster sits at 14 forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders.
