Goalie Campbell Arnold Added to Chiefs Roster
Spokane, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs announced on Thursday that they have added goaltender Campbell Arnold to their roster as an Affiliated Player. Arnold was the Chiefs’ second-round pick (28th overall) in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
Arnold, 16, has appeared in 17 games with the Spokane Braves of the KIJHL this season, posting a .893 SV% and 4.33 GAA. He made two starts during the 2018 WHL Preseason, allowing five goals on 56 shots faced (.911 SV%). Last season, with the Yale Hockey Academy of the CSSHL, he earned a .890 SV% and 3.34 GAA in 22 games, adding two playoff games (.907 SV%). He also played in one game with the Chiefs during the 2017-18 regular season.
Arnold will serve as backup to Bailey Brkin, who ranks 6th in the WHL in SV% (.921), 6th in GAA (2.21) and 8th in wins (13). Dawson Weatherill is listed on the injury report as day-to-day.
