Forward prospect Will Jamieson signs WHL agreement
Spokane, Wash. — The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that prospect Will Jamieson has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement. From Delburne, Alberta, Jamieson was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (111th overall) of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
“Will’s skating and skill are his biggest strengths on the ice,” Spokane’s Assistant General Manager Jim Hammett said. “Bringing those two together allows him to create big opportunities and we think he’ll be a great fit in our system.”
The 5-foot-8, 155-pound forward has posted 31 points (13G-18A) in 26 games this season with Okanagan Hockey Academy Black U17 Prep alongside fellow Chiefs prospect Cole Wadsworth. He added on five more points in four playoff games with two goals and three assists. Like Wadsworth, Jamieson also got some ice time with the Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 squad, where he tacked on two assists in one game played.
Jamieson is the sixth prospect from the Chiefs’ 2021 class to sign a WHL agreement, joining first-overall pick Berkly Catton, second-round choices Will McIsaac and Luka Shcherbyna, third-round pick Nathan Mayes and most recently Cole Wadsworth (fourth-round, 73rd overall).
