2023 OHL Cup Gatorade All-Star Team

Six players have been named to the 2023 Gatorade OHL Cup All-Star Team, a selection of the annual showcase’s top performers as chosen by OHL Central Scouting.

Here’s a look at this year’s Gatorade OHL Cup All-Star Team:

Forward – Jake O’Brien (Toronto Jr. Canadiens)
7 GP, 7 G, 10 A, 17 PTS.
The 2023 OHL Cup scoring leader, Jake O’Brien came up big in the Championship Final with a goal and a primary assist. He recorded multi-point efforts in six of his seven OHL Cup contests, with his 17 points becoming a new Toronto Jr. Canadiens OHL Cup record.

Forward – Brady Martin (Waterloo Wolves)
6 GP, 8G, 4A, 12 PTS.
Brady Martin helped the Waterloo Wolves reach the OHL Cup Semi-Final, stealing the show with a hat trick to eliminate the Toronto Marlboros in Quarterfinal play. He also scored an overtime winner to wrap-up the round robin, helping the Wolves defeat the OMHA champion Peterborough Petes 6-5. Martin’s eight goals finished tied for the tournament lead as he found the back of the net in five of his club’s six contests.

Forward – Carter Kostuch (Vaughan Kings)
7 GP, 6G, 5A, 11 PTS.
Carter Kostuch led the Vaughan Kings offensively, tying a club OHL Cup record with 11 points (6-5–11) over seven contests. He joined Luka Graziano and Brady Martin as one of three players with a trio of game-winning goals in the showcase.

Defence – Luka Graziano (Toronto Jr. Canadiens)
7 GP, 4G, 4A, 8 PTS.
Luka Graziano opened the scoring for JRC in the Championship Final, earning Player of the Game honours to help the Jr. Canadiens hoist the OHL Cup for the third time. He led all defenders in tournament scoring with eight points.

Defence – Adrian Manzo (Vaughan Kings)
7 GP, 0G, 2A, 2 PTS.
Vaughan Kings blueliner Adrian Manzo picked up a pair of assists in the showcase, logging big minutes to be named to the Gatorade All-Star Team.

Goaltender – Alexander Armellin (Toronto Jr. Canadiens)
4 GP, 4-0, 0.67 GAA, .972 SV%, 2 SO
One half of the Jr. Canadiens’ twin tandem between the pipes, Alexander Armellin posted a 21-save shutout in the OHL Cup Championship Final, joining brother Nico with two shutouts in the showcase. The Jr. Canadiens set a new OHL Cup record, surrendering just three goals over seven games.
