A fluid skater, patient puck handler and consistent presence on the blue line, Mississauga Steelheads defenceman Thomas Harley has all the tools to make an impact at the next level.
The 17-year-old put up 58 points (11-47–58) in his sophomore season, seeing minutes in all situations under head coach James Richmond. The former 14th overall OHL Priority Selection choice as quickly developed into a key player for his team.
NHL Central Scouting describes Harley as “a very smart puck-moving defenceman who has great instincts and vision both with and without the puck. He’s very poised and patient on plays and makes excellent heads-up decisions in all three zones.”
Harley enters the 2019 NHL Draft as the 11th ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
