CHL Alumni Spotlight: Quinton Byfield
In the third OHL edition of the CHL Alumni Spotlight presented by Carlsberg Canada, former Sudbury Wolves forward Quinton Byfield reflects on his OHL journey (2018-20), the top-tier competition he faced, and his continued growth in the NHL after being selected second overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Now in his fifth professional season, the 22-year-old Newmarket, Ont., native has recorded 32 goals, 69 assists, and 101 points in 210 contests with the Kings. Byfield has registered 13 points (4-9-13) in 31 games played this season.
Byfield was selected first overall by the Wolves in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. He was named the CHL and OHL Rookie of the Year for the 2018-19 season and won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship.
