1ST STAR: JUSTIN BRAZEAU (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
The reigning CHL Player of the Week, North Bay Battalion captain Justin Brazeau was at it again on Thursday, scoring twice and adding an assist as the Troops defeated the visiting Barrie Colts 4-1. The 6-foot-6 winger scored twice in the first period to put the Battalion ahead of the Colts 2-1 before assisting on a power play goal by defenceman David Maier in the third period. Brazeau leads the OHL with 28 points (14-14–28) in just 13 games. Thursday’s output was his seventh multi-point effort of the season.

2ND STAR: MATTHEW VILLALTA (SAULT STE. MARIE GREYHOUNDS):
Los Angeles Kings prospect Matthew Villalta made 27 saves, several of which were on high quality scoring chances, to earn his fifth straight win in a 3-2 triumph in Windsor. Villalta backstopped the Hounds to victory despite being outshot 29-22, helping the club win its fourth straight contest to lead the West Division with a 9-3-2-0 record. The Godfrey, Ont. native improves to 7-2-1-0 with a 2.49 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage this season.

3RD STAR: NICK ROBERTSON (PETERBOROUGH PETES):
2019 NHL Draft prospect Nick Robertson missed some time due to injury, but the 17-year-old is hitting his stride with a two-point performance in Thursday’s 5-2 win over the visiting Sudbury Wolves. Robertson opened the scoring 34 seconds into the first period with a slapshot from down the wing. He’d team up with Declan Chisholm on a nice give-and-go to close out the opening frame as the Petes shook-off a four-game slide to improve to 9-6-0-0. A former first round pick by the Petes, Robertson is a ‘B’ rated prospect on NHL Central Scouting’s October Players to Watch List.
