Eric Bondy scored the game-winning goal to lead the Sun County Panthers (1-0-0) to a 4-1 win over the Great North All-Stars (0-1-0).
Chase Crowder, Matt McCready and Patrick Ouellette also scored in the win.
Frank Desbiens replied for the Great North All-Stars with a third period powerplay goal.
Plymouth Compuware 3, Waterloo Wolves 1
Zach Root scored a powerplay goal late in the first period goal to lift Plymouth Compuware (1-0-0) to a 3-1 win over the Waterloo Wolves (0-1-0)
Aaron Lewicki and Jon Jacob, into an empty net, also scored for Plymouth, who iced just 11 players in the game.
Waterloo captain Brock Schultz replied with a powerplay goal late in the third period.
Vaughan Kings 6, Ottawa Valley 1
Jeff Barbieri scored twice and Vaughan captain Michael Lombardi scored the game-winning goal to help the Vaughan Kings (2-0-0) to a 6-1 win over the Ottawa Valley Titans (0-2-0).
Vincent Rocco, Gianluca Caputi, Jeremy Whalen and Andrew Cogliano also scored in the win.
Alex Vidoni scored for Ottawa Valley with 1:12 left in the game.
Whitby Wildcats 6, Toronto Marlies 4
Whitby captain James Neal scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal in the third period to lead the Whitby Wildcats (1-1-0) to a 6-4 win over the Toronto Marlboros (1-1-0).
Jason Cassidy, Chris Wood and David Shaw also scored for Whitby, who led 3-0 after one period.
Ryan McInerny, Trevor Koverko, Rich Clune and Tommy Jefferson scored for Toronto.
Thunder Bay 4, York Simcoe 2
Sean Trevisanutto scored the winning goal to help the Thunder Bay Kings (2-0-0) to a 4-2 win over the York Simcoe Express (0-2-0).
Justin Gvora, Anthony Gorenszach and Andy Hyvarinen also scored in the win.

Detroit Little Caesars 4, Cambridge Hawks 2
Anthony McIntyre had a goal and an assist to lead Detroit Little Caesars (1-1-0) to a 4-2 win over the Cambridge Hawks (1-1-0).
Zach MacVoy, Matt Suggs, Scott Zimmerman and Mike Murray also scored for Little Caesars, who had four powerplay goals.
