Here’s a look at OHL selections at the NHL Draft dating back to 1997, the year the NHL’s oldest OHL graduate Joe Thornton (Soo Greyhounds) of the San Jose Sharks was selected 1st overall by the Boston Bruins. Last year’s second overall pick Andrei Svechnikov (Barrie Colts) is now a rising star with the Carolina Hurricanes.
