Storm Fundraiser: For the Love of Andrea
The Guelph Storm has announced that they will be holding a fundraiser for Andrea Vellinga, wife of former Storm player Mike Vellinga, who was critically injured in the Sugarland stage collapse on August 13th. Storm Alumni and family will be on hand at the home opener against the Owen Sound Attack on Friday, September 23rd to raise money and help cover Andrea’s medical costs and her family’s stay at the hospital.
The following day, Saturday, September 24th, Storm Alumni will host a Skate with the Storm immediately following the team’s practice at 12:00pm. Alumni will be on hand to sign autographs as well as help collect funds to help with Andrea’s full recovery.

Friday, September 23rd – Guelph Storm vs. Owen Sound Attack, 7:30pm Sleeman Centre
Alumni members on hand to collect monetary offerings during the 1st stoppage in play in the 2nd period, look for the helmets being passed around!
-Silent auction table on the concourse.
Saturday, September 24th – Skate with the Storm!
This family friendly event will take place from 11:45-2:00pm at the Sleeman Centre.
12-:00-12:40pm- Storm practice, open to the public
12:50-1:50pm- Lace up your skates and join your favourite players on the ice for a fun-filled afternoon in support of a great cause! There will be an opportunity to tour the Storm locker room as well as a chance to win an autographed Drew Doughty jersey!
Tickets are $10/adult, $5/child or $25 for a family of 4 or more
