1ST STAR: JUSTIN BRAZEAU (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
North Bay Battalion captain Justin Brazeau tied a franchise record with seven points in an 8-3 win over the visiting Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday. Brazeau scored three times for his fourth OHL hat-trick while adding four assists, tacking seven points onto his season total to pull into first in the OHL scoring race. Brazeau’s seven points tie a previously held franchise record set by Wojtek Wolski in January 2006. The 6-foot-6 winger now has 25 points (12-13–25) in 12 games this season and has recorded three points or more in four of those games. The former 13th round pick from New Liskeard, Ont. attended training camp with the San Jose Sharks last month.

2ND STAR: MATTHEW STRUTHERS (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Brazeau’s partner in crime, Battalion centreman Matthew Struthers takes second star honours from Sunday after recording a career-high six points in the 8-3 victory. Struthers scored twice, added four assists and had a plus-3 rating in the lopsided victory to bring his season point total to 18 (8-10–18) over nine games this season. The 19-year-old native of Milton, Ont. is currently on a five-game point streak. He attended rookie camp with the Carolina Hurricanes last month.

3RD STAR: TYE FELHABER (OTTAWA 67’s):
Among the hottest names in the OHL right now, Tye Felhaber continued to rack up the points on Sunday, getting in on all three goals in a 3-1 Ottawa 67’s road win over the Mississauga Steelheads. Felhaber extended his point streak to 11 games with two goals and an assist while also pulling into the OHL goal-scoring lead with 15 on the campaign. Felhaber’s trio alongside rookie Marco Rossi and fellow vet Austen Keating is among the hottest in the lead as the combination combined for all three of Sunday’s goals. The 20-year-old former first round pick from Pembroke, Ont. has 24 points (15-9–24) in 14 games this season. He scored his 100th OHL goal in Sunday’s victory.
