Milestone Moments: October 21, 2018
EGOR POSTNOV (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Egor Postnov paired up with the red hot Matthew Struthers and Justin Brazeau to score his first OHL goal on a rebound with 30 seconds left in a high-scoring first period. The eighth of eight first period goals, Postnov put home his first in an 8-3 Battalion victory over visiting Kingston. The Moscow, Russia native was the 27th overall pick of the 2018 CHL Import Draft and has six points (1-5–6) through 11 games.
COLE RESNICK (OSHAWA GENERALS):
Cole Resnick took advantage of the old chip-and-chase, putting a puck in behind the Peterborough defence before winning a footrace to lift it past goaltender Hunter Jones for his first career marker. Resnick’s goal came midway through the second period with assists from Giovanni Vallati and Nico Gross. The 19-year-old native of Thornhill, Ont. scored in his ninth game of the season and the 32nd of his OHL career. He was signed as a free agent by the Generals prior to the start of last season.
TY TULLIO (OSHAWA GENERALS):
Ty Tullio‘s first OHL goal came on a Peterborough turnover as he and linemate Eric Henderson capitalized in transition. Henderson fed a pass through the slot for Tullio who made no mistake, beating Hunter Jones for the eventual game winner 8:53 into the second. The 11th overall pick of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, Tullio has five points (1-4–5) through his first 11 games of the season. The 16-year-old from Lakeshore, Ont. is a graduate of the Vaughan Kings Minor Midgets.
