1ST STAR: JONATHAN YANTSIS (KITCHENER RANGERS):
Jonathan Yantsis enjoyed his fifth multi-goal performance of the season, netting the game winner on a breakaway with 26 seconds left in regulation as the Kitchener Rangers took a 5-4 road win in Barrie. Yantsis brings his goal-scoring total to 18 on the season, giving him 27 points (18-9–27) over 23 games. The 19-year-old from Markham, Ont. is in his third season with the Rangers and was a free agent signing by the club in 2017. Yantsis has points in five of his last six games.

2ND STAR: JORDAN KOOY (LONDON KNIGHTS):
Vegas Golden Knights prospect Jordan Kooy turned in one of his best performances before a national audience on Saturday as the London Knights took a 2-1 shootout win in Guelph. Kooy stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced before turning away both shootout opponents as the Knights won their eighth straight contest. The 18-year-old native of Bradford, Ont. has now won five straight contests and is 8-1-0-0 with a league-low 1.97 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage on the campaign. Kooy recently represented the OHL in the CIBC Canada Russia Series. He was Vegas’ seventh round pick this past summer.

3RD STAR: KEVIN HANCOCK (OWEN SOUND ATTACK):
Kevin Hancock recorded his first hat-trick of the season as the Owen Sound Attack pulled off a late 5-2 win against the visiting Flint Firebirds. Thought two of the three goals went into the empty net, Hancock finished with four points as he added an assist in the process and became the OHL’s new scoring leader with 43 points (20-23–43) over 23 games. Hancock now has points in eight straight contests, with seven of those performances yielding multi-point outcomes. The 20-year-old from Mississauga, Ont. attended training camp with the Buffalo Sabres this past September.
