Spitfires’ Bracco signs with Maple Leafs
TORONTO – The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that they’ve signed Windsor Spitfires forward Jeremy Bracco to an entry-level NHL contact.
Bracco finished as the Spitfires’ regular season scoring leader, collecting 83 points including 25 goals and 58 assists between Windsor and Kitchener.
The 20-year-old native of Freeport, NY helped guide the United States National Junior Team to a gold medal finish at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Montreal and Toronto, recording five points (3-2–5) over seven contests. Bracco has also won World Under-17 Hockey Challenge gold (2013) and IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship gold (2015) representing the United States internationally.
Toronto’s second round (61st overall) pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, Bracco has amassed 147 points (46-101–147) over 106 OHL regular season games between Kitchener and Windsor.
