Spitfires add Mike Dukeshire to scouting staff
WINDSOR, ON – The Windsor Spitfires have added Mike Dukeshire to the scouting staff. Dukeshire is a native of Burlington, Ontario and has been scouting for the past six years. Mike lives with his wife Laura and son Julian in Ancaster, ON.
Dukeshire’s most recent post was with the Barrie Colts as a scout for the past four years. Mike has also been the General Manager of the Georgetown Raiders for the past two season and earned himself the GM of the year award; he is entering his third year this fall.
Mike will be scouting the OMHA West region, formerly known as the SCTA.
Dukeshire spoke on coming to Windsor.
“I am really excited to join the great staff in Windsor.” Dukeshire said. “I would like to thank Bill Bowler and Frank Evola for bringing me on. Windsor has done a great job of consistently developing players throughout the draft over the years and I’m excited to help them continue that.”
Director of Scouting and Hockey Operations Frank Evola spoke on the acquisition of Mike Dukeshire.
“We are excited to add Mike to our scouting staff.” Frank Evola said. “He brings a wealth of knowledge in scouting and has been with the Barrie Colts over the past 4 seasons. He has also been the GM of the Georgetown Raiders for the last two seasons. We look forward to Mike working with our team and entire scouting staff.”
