Second round selections Snelgrove and McFadden commit to Storm
Guelph, ON – Guelph Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2023 second round selections Parker Snelgrove and Wil McFadden have committed to Standard Player Agreements with the hockey club.
Snelgrove, selected 30th overall by the Storm in this year’s draft, had an excellent 2022-23 season for the U16 London Jr. Knights, recording 11 goals and 34 assists for 45 points in 29 games. The 2007-born centreman added 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points in 13 playoff games and notched 3 goals and 3 assists in 5 games at the OHL Cup. The left-shot forward also represented Team Ontario at the 2023 Canada Winter Games, helping his team to a gold medal win.

McFadden, selected 31st overall in this year’s U16 Priority Selection, had a great season leading the U16 Peterborough Petes squad in goals and points. The centreman notched 41 goals and 41 assists for 82 points in 36 games. McFadden added 11 goals and 7 assists for 18 points in 8 playoff games for the U16 Peterborough Petes. The left-shot forward also recorded 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points in 6 games at the OHL Cup.
